Linda’s Kitchen – Heart Warming Corn Beef Hash

corned-beef-hash-b

On a cold February’s evening, there is nothing better than a nice easy to make, hearty winter warmer for dinner. Here our very own in-house chef (and office multi-tasker), Linda talks us through her famous corn beef hash.

Here are the list of ingredients that you will need:

One tin of corned beef roughly chopped

One tin of baked beans

12oz of boiled cubed potatoes

Large onion diced

Cup of beef stock (cube)

Large squirt of tomato puree

Several splashes of Worcester sauce

Large pinch of dried mixed herbs

Season to taste with salt and pepper

Method:

This dish is very simple to make which is great if you don’t want to fuss about in the kitchen too long or if you’re in a rush to go somewhere. It’s also a great dish if you have friends, family or the grandchildren over as you can make it in one pot.

So here goes….

  1. Fry onion to soften and add all the other ingredients.
  2. Mix together and gently heat through until the potatoes start to break down. Make sure it is piping hot before serving.

Simples!

Here’s my tasty tip: best served with a poached egg or lovely Yorkshire puddings.

Enjoy!
